Brighouse Theatre Productions is a local amateur theatre company which puts on plays, pantomimes and street theatre. Some rehearsals for these performances take place in the Community Room at Rastrick Fire Station. In July BTP performed some street theatre at the Fire Station Open Day and In September the group presented “A Holiday to Die For” – two murder mystery/ cabaret evenings at Rastrick Bowling Club. To show appreciation for allowing the group to use the fire station room, a bucket collection was taken and raised £145.50 for the Firefighters’ Charity.
The cheque was presented at Rastrick Fire Station by the Chair of Brighouse Theatre Productions – Jane Pringle and by Robert Davison – Properties Manager with the Fire Service and a member of the social committee of BTP. Receiving the cheque were Crew Commander Andy Ball and Fire Fighter Jon Arey.
Rehearsals for the BTP Pantomime in January 2020 are progressing nicely. (Why don’t you make a note of the dates while you’re here: Thursday January 23rd – Sunday 26th at Civic Hall Brighouse).
All the parts are now cast and we are all busy learning our lines and remembering the stage directions that Director Roy gives us.!
You don’t have to be a singer or dancer or actor even to get involved with these theatrical productions. We need people to help with the scenery and the costumes. We need backstage crews and lighting crew. Even help writing the scripts.
Why not come and join us – it’s an opportunity to all meet up after rehearsals or shows and have a good laugh.
So – come along to the rehearsals or contact Lynn email: firstname.lastname@example.org
